Ville de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is a city of about 98,000 residents in the Montérégie region of Quebec, located on the Richelieu River about 40 km southeast of Montreal. Constituted in 2001 through the merger of five municipalities, it is the seat of the Le Haut-Richelieu regional county municipality and home to a Canadian Armed Forces Area Support Unit and the Royal Military College Saint-Jean. Its motto is 'L'industrie, la culture, l'avenir'.
